－NIJ IIIA：
The live-fire test standards for .44 Magnum usually refer to the bulletproof standards set by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). In the NIJ 0101.06 standard, the relevant test standards are mainly for bulletproof equipment, as follows:

• Ammunition specifications: Use .44 Magnum semi-jacketed hollow point bullets, weighing about 15.6 grams (240 grains).

• Speed requirements: The minimum impact speed of the bullet does not exceed 427 meters per second (about 1400 feet per second).

• Shooting method: At a distance of 5 meters, shoot 4 times at a 0-degree angle and 2 times at a 30-degree angle.

• Evaluation indicators: Check the bulletproof equipment after the test, requiring that the bullet does not penetrate and the back plate deformation does not exceed 44 mm.

－GA3：
Public security level 3 bulletproof plates are tested with live ammunition according to GA 141-2010 "General Technical Requirements for Police Bulletproof Vests". The standards are as follows:

• Test distance: 5 meters.

• Bullet type: Use a 79-type submachine gun to fire a 51-type 7.62x25mm pistol bullet.

• Bullet initial velocity: 515 meters per second.

• Shooting requirements: The bullet incident angle deviation is less than or equal to ±5°, the distance between the bullet impact points is greater than or equal to 51mm, and the distance between the bullet impact point and the edge is greater than or equal to 75mm.

• Evaluation indicators: The bulletproof plate should be able to block the bullet, and the maximum depression depth of the backing should be less than or equal to 25mm. At the same time, it is necessary to meet the above bulletproof performance and depression depth requirements under the ambient temperature of -20℃ to +55℃.

Why is it IIIA "+" level?
